Unity Poster

This informational poster was created with the intent of teaching the viewer about unity and its importance in design. When thinking of unity I immediately thought of "wholeness" and "togetherness", to trying to capture that within a graphic was my first plan of action.
The first plan of action here was to take a photo of my hands. I wanted to have them in a cupping pose as if they were holding something. This was done in preparation for the sphere I would place in the centre of them, showcasing that idea of unity with that complete, never-ending shape. I made to add grayscale to my hands and remove the colour from them, so that when I do add the sphere and the other gold-coloured shapes they are able to stand out more. Along the same lines, to add contrast to the gold even more, I made shades of purple the main colour on my poster, and instead of a stark white for the text and accent pieces, I chose a light blue grey. This allows the text content to stand out from the dark contrast of the purple.
