Mock Book Covers

This was my second assignment for my independent study class. For this project I tasked myself to design and create three unique book covers. The first one being a children's book called "How to Talk to Dinosaurs". The next being a romance novel, "The Sweetest Lies", and lastly a fantasy/fiction novel "A Trance of Dreams". Each book cover had their own challenges I had to overcome, for example, with 'How to Talk to Dinosaurs(HTTTD)', with each graphic element created, there were multiple steps in in the design process that had to be followed through before I compiled all of the elements. I under-estimated how long this would have take me and this created a setback in my creation process. I had to adjust my schedule depending on this and adjust the creation process of some of my other covers so
I would be able to hand in the deliverables on time. In the end, I am pleased with the results of each cover. My next step would be to create some mock-ups and create the back and inside design of the book covers as well.
